Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, is looking to strengthen his attack, after watching his side miss a lot of gilt-edged opportunities against Swansea, in the FA Cup third round replay on Wednesday.
Shortly after the match, there were stories making the rounds that Arsenal had submitted a £30m bid for an unnamed player. On Thursday, Wenger has now come out to express his admiration for Napoli striker, Edison Cavani.
“Cavani is a player that I like,” Wenger said. “What is for sure is that he costs a lot of money.”
The Uruguyan striker, has scored 16 times already in Serie A and was subject of interest from Manchester City last summer.
Wenger has also confirmed that he is watching Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, as he prepares to bolster his squad, with ten days left in the January market. He however understands that he faces a fight with other big clubs for the player’s signature.
